tissues make up organs and organs make up organ systems. its that simple.
there is a hierarchy among living organisms that is such:
cell-> tissue-> organs-> organ systems-> organisms
where cells make up tissues to perform a fucntion and tissues make up organs to perform a function and organs make up organisms to perform on emain function : homeostasis.
this is why organs have specific functions- it depends on the tissue type in the organ which depends on the celltype that makes up the tissue
The body is classified into
Cell (e.g Red blood cells, hepatocytes etc) - tissue (epithelial etc) - organ (heart, liver etc) - system (circulatory etc) - organism (human etc)
So, Cardiac muscle is a cell. It is surrounded by an endothelium which together would be heart tissue. Along with other cells it would form the heart. This would form part of the circulatory system which makes part of an organism
Remember, amino acids are the building blocks of cells. Cells are the building blocks for tissues; cells specialize into specific types of tissues. Tissues built of specialized cells form organs. Single or multiple organs make organ systems. All of the organ systems make up the organism, the human body in this case.
Cells are the smallest but most powerful unit in the body. Nutrients and oxygen pass through the cell membrane, producing energy and body heat. Cells have machinery to fight infection. Cells also reproduce to repair injuries or diseases, if they can.
Cells specialize into groups of tissues. Specialized tissues have usually one function.
Tissues are grouped by function into body organs. Organs are entirely specialized for a certain function.
Organs are grouped into organ systems. Each organ system has a separate function.
Organ Systems make up the body, or the organism. We can lose function in some very specific organs or lose an organ altogether in some systems, without it completely impeding the Organism. However, each disruption or dysfunction in an organ can affect the organ system and the organism.
The Organism needs the Organ Systems to function, or the organism can die.
See:
How are tissue organs organs systems and cells alike
See:
Tissues- group of cells that perform a specific function(ex. muscle tissue)
Organs- a group of tissues(ex. stomach)
Organ system- a group of organs(ex. digestive system)
an organ is many tissues. a tissue is many cells. in others words an organ is many many many cells
Tissue is a group of cells which have a special job to do whilst an organ is formed by a group of tissues with a special job. When you have a group of organs, you have an organ system.
cells.
The levels or organization are: cells -->tissues--->organs--->organ systems--->organism. The heart is an organ of the organ system called the cardiovascular system. This includes the heart, veins and arteries and blood.
A group of cells that act together is called a Tissue
yes the tissue does make up an organ, but it has to be a special type of tissue too make that certain organ it joins up with other tissues and than forms an organ
anatomy
Yes, the leaf is considered a plant organ.
a tissue organ is an organ containing tissue
A tissue is an organ!
Its a tissue organ
tissue- a group of like cells organ- like tissues organ system- organs with related function (cell-> tissue -> organ -> organ system)
An organism is made of organ systems. An organ system is made of organs. An organ is made of tissue. Tissue is made of cells.
it is a organ lol
cells tissue organ organ system orgasim
neurone is a tissue
It is an organ as it contains several types of tissue.
Organ system: circulatoryOrgan: HeartTissue: Cardiovascular tissue
It is a organ
