I'm not sure what you're referring to but it is safe to travel to Paris. Paris receives 42 million visitors a year!
If you are trying to get from Paris to London, depending on who you're going through, it should cost around $18. If you are going through a tour company, it's going to cost you around $75.

You can't get there from hereUnbelievably, it isn't possible to fly directly to Paris from Gatwick. You will have to go to Heathrow to fly. There are flights with connections to Paris, but they travel "farther away" before going there, resulting in abysmal flight times. Some "stops en route" can include Newcastle, Manchester, Dublin, or even Budapest, and back.
It depends on where in the US you are going to.
The trip from London to Paris by Eurostar train takes 2 hours 15 minutes. Of this, about 25 minutes is spent going through the Channel Tunnel.
