There is no chemical term known to me stating 'trilates'.

The most probable misspelling is the missing 'F" in this word, coming to: 'trilFates'

The chemical (trivial, unofficial) name triflate stands for trifluoro-methane sulfonate, it is an anionic functional group with the formula CF3SO3-
