∙ 12y agoWhen bees are born they spend the first 10 days as 'nurse bees' looking after the unborn eggs and larvae in the colony, The next 10 days are spent as 'house bees', keeping the hive or colony clean and storing pollen and nectar within the hive. The final 3 weeks are spent foraging, ie collecting pollen and nectar from plants in the surrounding area.
