They repel each other like positive ones do. If one is negatively charged, and the other is positive, then they will move towards eachother!
When two negatively charged balloons are brought together, they will repel each other due to their like charges. This repulsion is a result of the electrostatic force between the negatively charged objects pushing them away from each other.
When a negatively charged object and a positively charged object are brought together, they will attract each other due to their opposite charges. Electrons from the negatively charged object will move towards the positively charged object, equalizing the charge distribution between the two objects. This exchange of electrons will cause the objects to neutralize each other's charge.
they repel remember, opposites attract and likes repel.
Attraction and repulsion, in physics means, is when two objects attract and repel one another. For example, an When a negatively charged rod is brought near an electroscope with negatively charged leaves, the leaves will repel. Same goes for when a positively charged rod is brought near an electroscope with positively charged leaves, the leaves will repel. But if a negatively charged rod is brought near an electroscope with positively charged leaves, the leaves will attract. Kind of like opposites attract, and likeness repels.
they will repel
As an electron is brought closer to a negatively charged plate, its potential energy increases. Since like charges repel, the electron has to be "brought" near the negatively charged plate ... it'll never go there on its own. You have to push it there, meaning you have to do work on it, and that work adds to the potential energy of the electron. As soon as you let it go, it'll whizz AWAY from the negatively charged plate, and that energy you put into it will turn into the kinetic energy of a hasty retreat.
if some of the positive charges have been either chemically removed or bonded together, that is how they become negatively charged...................... xoxo
When you rub two objects together, electrons are transferred between the two objects. The object that gains electrons becomes negatively charged, while the object that loses electrons becomes positively charged.
If two negatively charged rods are brought close to each other, they will repel each other due to the like charges. The negative charges on the rods will create a force that pushes them away from each other.
The positively charged object will be attracted towards the negatively charged object due to the electrostatic force between opposite charges. The suspended object may move closer to or even touch the negatively charged object, depending on the strength of the charges and the distance between them.
When a positively charged object is brought near a negatively charged object, they will attract each other due to the difference in charges. The positively charged object will exert a force on the negatively charged object, causing them to move towards each other.
i dont know ask your friends at school. if your old, live with it. A Negative Charge or a collection of negative charges will repel other negative charges. A negatively charged balloon will therefore repel those few negative charges in a wall that are capable of moving a little bit. That area of the wall close to the negatively charged balloon will therefore become positively charged. A positively charged wall will attract a negatively charged balloon and the two will stick together.
