What is reflection and refraction of light?

Reflectivity isn't a property of light, it's a property of the surface that reflects the light. It is the proportion of the energy in an incoming light beam which when it hits the surface is reflected rather than absorbed.

What is the difference between dispersion and reflection?

Dispersion is when light is refracted inside a prism and all the colours are separated because red light refracts less than violet light. Reflection is when light hits an object and bounces back off it.

Why might reflection be considered universal?

The reflection might apply to people other than the author. (APEX)

What occors when light changes speed as it passes from one medium to another?

If the light is at an angle to the medium, then refraction (change of direction) and possibly reflection. If light travels at 90 degrees than maybe only slight reflection.

Can you get a sunburn from the mirror reflection from a building?

Theoretically yes. Although I don´t know how likely this is to occur, the light from a reflection can be as strong or even stronger than the light that reaches you directly from it´s source.

When and why the internal reflection occurs?

Total internal reflection occurs when a light hits its medium at an angle wider than a certain critical angle, depending upon what's normal to that medium. If the refractive index and the incident angle on the other side are measured lower or greater, respectively, the light is totally reflected.

When a beam of light passes at an oblique angle into a material of lower?

less than the angle of reflection

If it is less than 28 degrees it will reflect back and if it is more than 38 degrees it will get burnt what are you talking about?

It depends on what degree system we are talking about. It could be about light (especially laser) reflection on a material, when the beam of light is bounced on the surface to a certain degree. Less than 28 and it is reflected back, more than 38 and the material is burnt.Or it could be something that is heated to a degree, used some other measure than Celsius. But that does not make sense with the reflection part, unless the materials reflection capacity changes in different temperatures. I'd go with laser beam.

Why do objects appear visible and clear inside an open room during daytime?

it is because of diffused reflection,Diffuse reflection is the reflection of light from a surface such that an incident ray is reflected at many angles rather than at just one angle as in the case of specular reflection.

What is multiple reflection?

A multiple reflection is when there is mirror more than one we can create multiple reflections which leads to multiple images. A seismic wave which has more than one reflection is also known as repeated reflection; secondary reflection .

What happens to the light ray when the angle of incidence is greater than the angle of total reflection?

it is not the angle of total reflection, it is the critical angle. and when the angle of incidence is greater than the critical angle, total internal reflection takes place and as it is necessary for total internal reflection to take place that the ray must travel from denser to rarer medium so, when it occurs, the ray is reflected bach into the denser medium.

Why can you see you reflection in places other than the mirror?

Lots of objects can reflect an image. A mirror is simply a surface specially prepared to reflect much better than the average surface. The way light reflects off certain surfaces can produce an image.
