Variable necessities are, basically, things you decided are needed throughout your life, but cost differently from month to month.

For example, September, you might spend $200.34 grocery - wise because you have one friend coming over to spend the month with you. But, when that friend goes away in November, you might spend $103.41 because it's just you at your house.

Here is a list of a couple variable necessities that I came up with.

-- Groceries

-- Clothes

-- Health - care items

-- Household supplies (such as cleaning products or toiletries)

-- Gasoline

-- Occasional Public Transportation

-- Restaurant or Shop Trips

-- Manicure or Haircut Trips

Hope this helped! :)
