Here are some vision defects that I found. The Glaucoma disorder, which is a disorder of the eye caused by buildup of fluid in the anterior chamber of the eye. In a normal condition tiny ducts drain any excess fluids. The solution to this problem is to remove the lens and fit the patient with strong eyeglass. Astigmatism is a vision defect caused by abnormal curvature of surface of the lens. Basically the lens or cornea are irregularly shaped. The way to treat this defect is to get an eye surgery, where the Doctor will remove tissue from the cornea to get a better shape. There is also myopia, which is nearsightedness, this condition occurs when the image is focused in the front of the retina Glass that contain concave lens can correct this. And there is hyperopia defect, which is farsightedness, this condition occurs when the image is focused behind the retina. The eyeball is too short causing the image to be brought into focus behind the retina.

There are several vision defects and the corrective lenses. Some of the common vision defects include myopia, which is corrected using concave diverging lenses, hypermetropia, which is corrected using the convex converging lenses, and astigmatism, corrected with cylindrical lenses on eyeglasses.
