The Warlock class uses shadow and fire magic for their spells via curses, incineration, and shadowbolts. They have command over several demons (not at once). They can summon other players in their party to them with the help of their comrades, and provide resurrection via soulstones. They have AoE capabilities as well as very powerful single target spells.

Warlocks rely on their minions for a 1/3 of their dps in most cases. So basically, there is no better choice when it comes to priests or warlocks, you just pick what's right for you.
