Yes... 3/12 is exactly the sdame as 1/4
Neither is a good option! We have a fragment of Mark's Gospel dated to about 68 A.D. but it is definitely a copy of an earlier work (this led critical scholars to change their "written 100's of years later" myth to at least within the first 4 decades following the physical resurrection from the dead of Jesus of Nazareth (your 40 years concept). However in my well studied opinion, they are incorrect that Mark's gospel was the first because it is shorter. This is an error in logic just like their 100's of years later invalid derivation. However, though we have no fragmentary samples at this time (which perverts the judgment of some of the critical scholars). History and an unending testimony, some of which is eye-witness, indicates Matthew's was written first, and it was written in the Hebrew Aramaic. Paul's 1st letter to the Corinthians which alludes to some of the things mentioned therein was written about 35-54 A.D., so all this makes Matthew's Gospel the closest to the events (all those people in all the places they were from all erecieved the sdame history from the Apostles. The Collusion of Fraud factor is first a lie and secondarily so extreme a probability it is absurd). This makes good sense as well because Matthew Levi was of a Priestly family (thus could read and write) was a Tax Collector for the Occupation Governement (a Publican) and was use to taking down notes, recording dates, and excuses and names etc., for Caesar, which leads me to believe (though totally speculation) that he probably was writing down details and notes and stories of events, people, and places, as he travelled with Jesus...it was not unusual for prominent Rabbis in that day to have a secretary...Mark after all was Peter's and received the Gospel of Mark as Peter's memoirs while Peter was imprisoned there (Crucified upside down around 63 0r 64 A.D).
