For example, teachers may obtain a certificate for teaching English language arts to early adolescents (aged 11 to 15), or they may become certified as early childhood generalists. My best answer I can give you at this point since I received a license to teach art K-12. Coming from experience that I received from my art professor in Visual Arts. I felt she did not teach me the correct procedures in basic standards for teaching Visual Arts. I feel she could have taught me more. I felt she did not know how to teach Visual Arts. The reason I say this, I found a website somewhere on the Internet that had a complete syllabus on how to teach art for college grades in careers in Visual. He had everything in order, even a child could understand what he had instore for the class. Comparing my art professor syllabus with the art instructors syllabus, you would know there is something wrong with my art professor's style of teaching. I felt neglected, puzzled, sick, and knew I was headed for disaster. I knew someday my education in art would reflect on professors teaching strategies in art. Today, I fell I'm not prepared to teach Visual Art. This morning as I write this statement, I will search and find books on how teach and hope my students will learn Visual Arts the correct way.
