Young tarantulas, like any young Spiders, are referred to as spiderlings. This often shortened by hobbyists t "slings".
Tarantulas live alone. At a VERY young age they live together, and there are some tarantulas that seem to be able to live harmoniously with other tarantulas, BUT NEVER KEEP PET TARANTULAS TOGETHER IN THE SAME CAGE. In most cases, they are guaranteed cannibals.
No because their bodies can't produce it
Female tarantulas reach breeding age at around two years old.
Sadly, there doesn't seem to be special terminology for either tarantula gender (which seems to be the case for all arachnids). I'm partial to the terms 'buck' for male and 'doe' for female, but those are personal preferences. Cheers!
They can be, but usually the female will let the young remain near for a period of time. Many factors are involved, including what species, if it has been a lean year, weather, etc. If hungry enough, she will eat the young and the young will cannibalize each other.
Yah I think there a species called baboon that are yellow
they are called setae.
Perhaps. We belive that most tarantulas are colorblind; this is called dyschromatopsia. This does not mean there are some tarantula species with other less severe color sensibility, like dichromacy.
Mostly tarantulas are harmless to humans, but they can inflict a painful bite if provoked. The Sydney Funnel-Web Spider, which is poisonous, is not a tarantula. In addition to their fangs, tarantulas in the New World have what are called "urticating hairs", which they throw from their abdomens to fend off curious predators.
Tarantulas do not have nails like mammals; instead, they have claws at the tips of their legs. These claws are part of their exoskeleton and help them grip surfaces, climb, and capture prey. Additionally, tarantulas have specialized hairs called setae that allow them to sense their environment and aid in locomotion.
Tarantulas are not native to Scotland.
No. Tarantulas are not mammals they are arachnids
