The metatarsal bones are a set of 5 long bones in the feet. They are the third set of bones counting from the tips of the toes.
What lies in front of the tarsal bones is the metatarsal.
The metatarsals are found in the middle of your feet and phalanges are your toes and fingers bones.
your pelvis is connected to your femur, your femurs connected to your patella, your patellas connected to your tibia, your tibias connected to your fibula, your fibulas connected to your tarsal bones, your tarsal bones connected to your metatarsal bones, your metatarsal bones connected to your phalanges, your phalanges are connected to.... your toe nails?
The five long bones of the midfoot are referred to as the metatarsal :)
They are the bones in the foot between the ankle and the toes.
Distal to the metatarsals are the phalanges. The great toe (hallux) has two phalanges where as all of the other toes have three each. The proximal phalanges attach the the metatarsals via the metatarsal phalangeal joints. Proximal to the metatarsals are the tarsals. The first, second, and third cuneiforms articulate with the first, second and third metatarsals. The fourth metatarsal articulates with the cuboid and the head of the fifth metatarsal is its own projection that can be felt on the lateral foot.
A Lisfranc dislocation is when the metatarsal bones are misaligned relative to the ankle bones behind them.
it is a bone that connects to the tarsal.
the five metatarsal bones, numbered 1-5 medial to lateral
The displacement of these two foot bones causes a projection of bone on the inside portion of the forefoot.
The metatarsals are technically the foot bones just beyond the ankle. They are between your ankle bones and the toes.
