I think that Jacob is better, but not as good for Bella. Probably because I don't like Bella (no offense). But it's so sad, because they were supposed to be together if Edward had never come, and then Jacob would never have become a werewolf.

Yes, Jake still would've made the transformation into a werewolf, but it wasn't Bella that made him transform. It was the vampire that was in Forks: Victoria. Vampires are the werewolves' natural enemy, so he transformed to protect the humans. That's what the Quileutes do. They call themselves "protecters". So, the night that Jacob, Mike, and Bella went to the movies, Billy told Jacob that he looked weird, and Jake just snapped and made the transformation.
