zebras defenses are really limited because they dont have many. in this case, if your talking about a lion well, lions see in black and white. and zebras are black and white! it confuses the lion where the zebra is because everything to them is black and white. if the predator gets close to the zebra, well, the zebra uses it's hind legs to kick them. sometimes they kick so hard, it kills the predator. but really, the main defense of a zebra is to run.

The first defense of zebras is to run. A second resort is kicking an attacker. A well placed kick could kill even a lion, but they rarely succeed at doing that.
