There are several things that you can eat/drink after getting your wisdom teeth pulled. BUT FIRST....JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T DRINK ANYTHING THROUGH A STRAW (sucking or spitting puts you at risk for infection), DON'T HAVE TOO MUCH DAIRY because it reacts badly and makes you feel really sick with hydrocodone/Vicodin (which is probably the pain killer you'll get), DON'T LET ANY FOOD GET NEAR YOUR STITCHES or let any drinks in your mouth because of infections, AND MAKE SURE YOU RINSE WITH WARM SALT WATER after each time you eat, or at least 4 times a day to clean your mouth out and prevent infections. Anyway, what you eat all varies based on the pain you're experiencing and how much you can open your mouth, but here's what I did to try to get some vitamins and protein in me: Day One: milk/chocolate milk, applesauce, V8/V8 Splash, thin shakes (thicker is harder to swallow without sucking), the best shake I discovered: 2 smashed bananas, 1 chocolate SlimFast, 2 teaspoons Splenda, 6-8 scoops vanilla ice cream (tastes like banana brownie batter), I don't recommend icee smoothies because it's harder to get down without sucking it down DAY TWO: all the above, as well as pudding (not too thick or you'll have to suck it back to your throat and that puts you at greater risk for infections), frozen yogurt, regular yogurt, soft serve ice cream, soft canned peaches/pears smushed into small pieces -- or basically anything that you can break into small enough pieces so you don't have to chew, but just swallow....whatever you eat, don't let it in your mouth or get back near your stitches...just swallow it straight back DAY THREE: the pain in your mouth will probably peak on the third day, so just consume anything that is not too painful to chew or swallow without getting food near your stitches....if you're not in too much pain then you can eat what I ate: anything from day one or two, small swallow-size pieces of soft white bread or potato bread with smashed & salted avocado on it, mashed potatoes, very soft pasta like macaroni and cheese cut up into tiny pieces, scrambled eggs in tiny pieces, pasta sauce on soft bread pieces (to get a good vege serving in you), etc.
