Jacksonville like all cities in the United States have areas that are run down to economic degeneration. Slum areas are found all across the city in rundown areas such as: Old Arlington (Sin City), Phoenix Ave (Eastside), McDuff-Mixon Town, NW Jacksonville, Oceanway, and Phillips Highway near Emerson just to name a few.
