John, Peter and James are eyewitnesses who walked and talked with Jesus and testify of Jesus in the flesh. Only an eyewitness can testify of Jesus in the flesh.
Matthew and Mark probably also walked with Christ though there is some speculation on the actual authors of those books.
The bible is a collaboration of works from various authors, as such there are various gospels according to each author. These are the interpretations of the supposed teachings of Jesus Christ, by each author.
Walk in the physical sense, the Bible is silent on this. Walk in the spiritual sense as a disciple (imitator) of Jesus, yes indeed as he was inspired to write what many say is the first of the Gospels.
