What banks participate in the medallion signature guarantee program in Australia?

There are numerous locations that participate in the program but typically you have to be a bank customer to acquire a medallion guaranteed signature. One exception is Bank of America. Bank of America will provide the medallion guarnateed stamp for non-customers, but they do have to obtain information before providing the service. I'd suggest calling the branch you intend to visit before going just to be sure they provide this service, as it's typically just larger or main branches that will do it.

There are many credit unions in the US that participate in the Medallion guarantee program. Central One Federal Credit Union and United Educational Credit Union are some of the participating credit unions.

Answer 2. Today in April 2011 I contacted the Bank of Montreal (BMO) to ask about the Medallion signature guarantee program. They do participate in it. People at my branch in Toronto have the stamps.

I needed to get a medallion signature guarantee, and am living in Munich, Germany. I called US banks with branches here (Bank of America, where I have an account, and Citi Bank). Neither could help me. I called the US consulate, notary department who told this cannot be done in Europe. I noticed references from the US consulate in Edinburgh that listed two firms in England who offer this service:

This firm will vet your paperwork for you (will do it by mail) and will send the document(s) somewhere (I can only imagine the US) where it will get a Medallion signature guarantee. They need a week to get it done.

In the end I had only 48 hours to get the signature, and the company requiring it was willing to work with me on it (ie in the end accepted a notary). However, I found this firm extremely responsive, and helpful, and if I am in this situation again, I will go straight to them.
