A great number of them, the most significant of the Olympians include; Zeus Ares Hephaestus Hermes Apollo Aphrodite Dionysus Poseidon
Dionysus is the god of wine and vegetation, who showed mortals how to cultivate grapevines and make wine. Dionysus was worshiped by the maenads or bacchantes, who were a group of female devotees who left their homes to roam the wilderness in ecstatic devotion to dionysus. Dionysus was good and gentle to those who worshiped him,but he brought about madness and destruction upon those who spurned him or the orgiastic rituals of his cult. dionysus was believed to die each winter and was reborn in he spring. This cyclical revival, accompanied by the seasonal renewal of the fruits of the earth, embodied the promise of resurrection.
Dionysus' mother was a mortal. Mortals couldn't handle the full godliness of someone like Zeus, and Dionysus' mortal mother couldn't stop begging to see Zeus in his full godliness. Finally, Zeus couldn't take the begging, and he let her see himself for the real him, and she burst into flames. Once Zeus realized that Dionysus was in the womb of his mortal mother, not fully grown, Zeus had Hermes come and rescue Dionysus, and Zeus created a hole in his thigh, where Dionysus could mature into a real baby, instead of a fetus. Once Dionysus was a fully grown baby, Zeus opened up that hole, and out came Dionysus.
Amethyst comes from the Greek word amethustos, which translates to "not drunken". The name comes from a story in Greek mythology when Dionysus swore revenge on all mortals who did not celebrate by getting drunk.
I would assume it would be Dionysus, Greek God of Wine, Ecstasy, Civilization, Pleasure, etc, and threw wild parties. He basically is the symbol of a large celebration and was widely loved and worshiped, especially at parties or where there was wine drinking. There is no other God, really, who stayed amongst mortals/loved them as much as Dionysus. Maybe Zeus, but none of the other Gods cared about mortals that much, let alone go to a party with them. Hope this helps in any way! :)
It depends on the particular religion. Some mythologies that permit mortals to become Gods are:Greek (Hercules, Dionysus, Cleitus)Hindustan (Krishna)Christianity (Jesus)Mormonism (potentially anybody)
It is said in some myths that Eros (cupid) was Aphrodite's son, but others say he is a primordial being. She had several children with Ares, including the Erotes, and with Hermes and Dionysus. She also had children by mortals.
