These original rights were life, liberty and property. However they were later changed by Thomas Jefferson in the publication of the Declaration of Independence to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Many theories of rights before this were inherited from the bible's teachings. The bible expresses basic morals therefore some of the moral rights that we have in our society have evolved from the bible.
