The major arteries involved include 1) the right and left carotid arteries, and 2) the right and left vertebral arteries.
The Carotid Arteries.
carotid artery
The superior vena cava conducts blood from the head to the right atrium.
The aorta conducts blood from the left ventricle.
the aorta
The vessel that conducts blood from the left ventricle is the aorta. It is the largest artery in the body and carries oxygen-rich blood away from the heart to the rest of the body. The aorta branches out into smaller arteries, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues and organs.
The Aorta (the aortic arch)The left ventricle of the human body contains oxygenated blood. This oxygenated blood is pumped to all parts of the body except the lungs. Hence the left ventricle which has a thick cardiac wall pumps blood through aorta, the main artery, which is the only blood vessel that arises from the left ventricle.Left atrium--------> Left ventricle ----------> Aorta
the heart
Aneurysm
the right and left common carotid arteries carry blood to the head. I assume that is what you meant, because nothing carries blood vessels to the head.
There are two the superior (from the head) and inferior (from the body) vena cava.
This artery is called the dorsal aorta and it is a main artery leading from the heart. It divides and branches out to smaller arteries that ensure that all of the body is supplied with oxygen.
