1st-'Song Of Solomon' -24 times

2nd-'1John' -23

3rd-'Psalms' -22

4th-'John' -19

5th-'Deuteronomy' -16

Note that 'John' (the book written by the disciple of love) is 4th on the list .

(Then again, you can prove anything by statistics eg content, context, purpose etc)

It is interesting that Deuteronomy is high up on the list, but it shouldn't be that surprising: given that in Matthew 4, (when being tempted by the Devil), Christ countered Satan by quoting from Deuteronomy 3 out of the 4 times.

Jesus states in the New Testament Matthew 22:37-40 "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

He also says in John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Jesus exemplified this through the atonement when he bled and died for everyone on the earth.
