The Harry Potter series contains the Mirror of Erised, a mirror that shows not one's reflection, but instead their greatest desire.
The Mirror of Erised does not show your face, it shows your hearts deepest desire. Since details of the mirror's design are unknown, it cannot be stated exactly what type of mirror it is considered to be. See related links for more information on types of mirrors.
I don't think so, though there was a Greek Goddess called Eris the mirror's name 'Erised' is actually just 'desire' spelt backwards as the mirrors enscription reversed is 'I show not your face but you heart's desire'. I can't be sure but I think it's just a coincidence.

The Mirror of Erised (desire spelled backwards) was a magic mirror that showed the looker their heart's deepest desire. Some lookers had trouble remembering that what they were viewing was not real, and were said to have wasted away from in front of the mirror. Dumbledore also used the mirror to help hide the Philosopher's (Sorcerer's) stone.
