For which country?

The Germans used mainly jack-boots but replaced them at the end of the war with short shoes and maschen-damasker. Though German paratroopers were issued boots very similiar to thoose used today, german for boot is stiefel try googling for example fallschirmjäger stiefel (paratrooper boots)
