To check the brake fluid in a 2001 Toyota Solara, open the hood and locate the brake fluid reservoir, which is usually near the back of the engine bay on the driver's side. Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. The reservoir is typically clear or translucent, allowing you to see the fluid level; it should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" markings. If the fluid is low, add the appropriate brake fluid type as specified in your owner's manual.
