Limnology is the branch of earth science that studies lakes. It focuses on the physical, chemical, biological, and ecological aspects of freshwater systems like lakes, rivers, and wetlands. Limnologists study the water quality, biodiversity, and interactions between organisms in these aquatic ecosystems.
There are many lakes on earth. Some are The Great Lakes, Lake Victoria, and The Great Salt Lake.
