The Secretary of Agriculture is housed underneath the Executive branch. The Secretary of Agriculture is under the direction of the President and oversees the Department of Agriculture.
The President is known as the Chief Executive. He is the head of the executive branch, and oversees all employees housed in the executive branch.
The executive branch is responsible for carrying out laws in a parliamentary democracy. This branch is led by the prime minister, who is typically the head of government and oversees the administration of laws and government policies.
Congress is not an example of the executive branch. Congress is the legislative branch, in place to make and pass laws, while the executive branch includes the President and the bureaucracy he oversees.
The Legislative branch, commonly known as Congress, which comprises the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, oversees the Library of Congress. The Legislative branch is that part of the government responsible for making laws, establishing the budget for all U.S. government agencies and projects, and appropriating money for the military and special programs.
