It is hard to believe that some of those horse's ancestors were not caught and domesticated by the local tribes. So there are probably virtually no horse breeds that have not had a few individuals tamed at some time in history. Zebras have even been ridden and bred in captivity.
We had a rescue horse that had a baby at just three. It will stunt her growth I assume, but it is possible. With the surplus of horses out there today, I would say it is not a needed expense. Why breed a young mare?

Generally the favorite American horse is the Morgan horse because it is from America. Other favorites include the quarter horse, thoroughbred, friesian, dutch warmblood, hanovarian, holsteiner, welsh pony, and many others. The favorite breed in America is of course the Morgan Horse. This breed is the most versatile, it is strong enough to drive, agile enough to jump, nimble enough for barrel racing, and flashy enough for dressage. This horse is by far the best. It is so pretty and has a great confirmation, they also look unique and you can always tell a Morgan horse apart from the others. Generally their temperament is outstanding and they are a very loyal breed. They are willing to attempt any challenge and they are they are an extremely smart breed. The Morgan Horse is by far America's favorite breed of horse.
