Number 30. Leave the Gare du Nord by the main entrance on Rue de Dunkerque; turn right, and walk to the big junction with Boulevard Magenta - a place where eight streets meet. Take the 3nd right, Boulevard de Magenta. The first bus stop you come to is the one you need. The No. 30 goes to Trocadéro, the square outside the Palais de Chaillot. Go between the wings of the Palais and goggle at one of the world's most famous views.

the bus line you're seeking is the 350, but they left you at gare l'est (5 minutes walk from gare du nord) and it takes about 1H10 to get there
alternative choice to access gare du nord from CDG airport is RER line B (regional subway) which is a direct line and take around 30 minutes.

Alas, none. The No. 30 bus goes direct, but on metro or RER you have to change. RER is best: Line B or D to Chatelet-les-Halles, then line C (direction Versailles) to Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel.

The number 30 bus goes from Gare de l'Est to Trocadero, which is the best approach to the EIFFEL TOWER. It goes via the Arc de Triomphe, well worth driving round on a bus. Come of the bus at the terminus at Trocadero, and walk 50 mtrs to the underpass. Use the underpass to go to the top of the steps to the Eiffel Tower.

The quickest way is to walk or take the metro down to Strasbourg-Saint-Denis metro station, then take metro line 8, direction Balard, and get off at Ecole Militaire. Personally, however, I prefer the 32 bus from Gare de l'Est to Trocadéro. That way, you arrive across the river from the tower, start with the best view from the Palais de Chaillot, and then walk downhill past the fabulouse fountains and across the river to the tower. The bus goes from directly in front of the station at Gare de l'Est, just near your hotel. Buy your tickets (cheapest in a CARNET of 10) from the metro station in advance. One ticket gets you just about anywhere in central Paris.

If you insist to take a bus right down the Eiffel tower, take the line 30 toward "Trocadéro" or the 22 towards "Porte de Saint-Cloud".

For both lines, step down at "Boissière" and switch to the line 82 towards Luxembourg. Step down at "Tour Eiffel" on the way.

The distance between the arc and the Eiffel tower is just 2 km, sot that's usually faster to just walk down the avenue d'Iena.

How do you reach the Arc de triomphe from Champ de Mars?

There are different ways to go from Champ de Mars (the Eiffel tower) to the Arc de triomphe: using the underground, the bus or walking. - Using the underground: go to Bir-Hakeim bridge, 150 metres down the river, and step in Metro line 6 towards Charles-de-Gaulle - étoile. Step out there. - By bus: at the tower, take the bus line 82, change at Boissière for line 22 or line 30. Or go by foot to Place du Trocadéro on the other side of the river (3 minutes walk from the Eiffel tower), and board directly in a 22 or 30 bus. - Walking all the way (1.2 mile / 1.9 kilometre): Cross the Seine river from the Eiffel tower, follow Avenue d'Iéna (second right) all the way to the Arc. This will take about 20 minutes.

How long does it take to go from the Champs-Γ‰lysΓ©es to the Eiffel tower?

well it is not such a smart idea to walk to "champs-elysees" not shanzelize from the Eiffel tower where there is a perfectly safe and fast underground metro. if you really insist in walking, cross the bridge and walk towards your right until you get to the roundabout at the bottom of trocadero. then you walk up the hill and climb the few flights of stairs. once you get to the top you should be able to the Eiffel tower directly behind you. you will be at a roundabout and you find the road before "avenue kleber" when you walk around anti-clockwise. when you are on that road you should see the Arc De Triomphe almost 500-700 metres ahead of you. keep walking and once you get to the arc, you will be on the champs elysees.
