What button do you press to activate your tamagotchi?

1. When you first buy your Tamagotchi, pull out the tab on the left side.

2. After a long beep, you should see an egg. Press the reset button on the back of your tamagotchi with a pointed object like a pencil or a pin, but don't press too hard.

3. To set the time and date, press the middle once you see the egg on your screen again. Set the date as MM/DD and the time in the 24 hour clock style. Use the first button to scroll and the middle button to select.

4. When you have finished setting the date, you will come to a screen that says BIRTHDAY on it. Using the same technique as you did setting the time/date, set your bithday as MM/DD.

5. When you have finished setting your birthday, you will come to the username screen. Choose a name up to 5 letters by using the first button to scroll through the letters of the alphabet and the middle button to select a letter.

6. When you have selected a username, your Tamagotchi screen will return to the egg. After a minute, your Tamagotchi will hatch!

7. You will then be brought to the name screen. Select a name for your Tamagotchi using the same technique as you did for selecting your username.

8. You are now done! Enjoy taking care of your Tamagotchi.
