There isn't officially an order of seniority in the UK Cabinet but obviously the post of Prime Minister is supreme and Chancellor of the Exchequer is seen as the second highest post. The Foreign and Home Secretaries complete the four Great Offices of State which are seen as the most senior. i take it we are talking about the dept's within the cabinet,back then it was pretty bare bone.secretary of state,secretary of treasury secretary of war,attorney general,postmaster general that's it no more.even tho 14 different people held these post during his terms.
