∙ 13y agono, the 7mm is .284 bore, the .338 is, of course, .338
probably 7mm or 8 mm
If 7mm Magnum, it trumps the others.
That stands for the caliber of your firearm, and what ammo should be shot through it.
the smallest cal you should use would be a .243 but not something outragous like a .338 or some thing i hunt hogs with a 7mm-08.
The 7mm is a smaller cartridge. If your rifle is not marked with the caliber, have it examined by a gunsmith. They may make a casting of the chamber using a material called Cerro-Safe. The casting is measured with a micrometer to determine exactly which cartridge it is chambered for.
I use a 2.5-8x36 VX3...
Anywhere from $100 to a few thousand- depends on which 7mm rifle- and which 7mm cartridge- there ARE several different one.
Both calibers have alot power but the 7mm is more powerful due to the fact that the bullets of the 7mm are in a higher grain than the .308. The 7mm also has a much higher recoil than the 308 and even the 30-06, both calibers have a high standard of performance but its no question the 7mm remington is more powerful
284
