Box and manual
My Browning 270 Semi-automatic refile came without a serial number but purchased back in 1973 brand new. Why did my rifle did not come with a Serial Number? I am the original owner of this refle.
I know that Browning made a Greywolf A-bolt rifle in 30-06 because I have one. I don't know if they made any in .270 cal. The Greywolf was only manufactured in 1994 with very limited production. I've heard that there were only 380 made. They are stainless steel with a wooden stock and came with the Browning BOSS attachment.
We can possibly answer your question if you re-ask and include the serial number. Thank you
The semi-auto rifle
Possibly the Mondragon rifle from the late 1800's, issued to the Mexican Army.
That is what i came to this site for to get the answer.
That would be Remington
The Browning Auto-5 came in 12-, 16- and 20-gauge varieties.
You have a Browning safari model bolt action rifle. These came in 3 grade levels according to the amount of engraving, fancy wood etc.The basic model was the safari, then the next level was the medallion, then the olympian.I can say that by your serial number your rifle was made in the year 1968.
They came in different lengths.
The first was the Model 1885 Single Shot rifle. The second was the Model 1894 lever-action rifle. The Models 55 and 64 (variants of the Model 1894) were also made in 38-55, but in very small numbers.
It came with the Invector system which allowed changing chokes.
