Koalas' habits are different to koalas' habitats. Koalas are essentially solitary creatures which have a habit of roaming between their home trees within their home range, or territory. This puts them at risk from ground-dwelling predators, particularly wild and domestic dogs. They are nocturnal, although they can be active during the day.
Koalas spend up to 18 hours a day sleeping, but their main hours of activity are at night, meaning they are nocturnal. They feed almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves and flowers, reaching out with their hands, which have opposable thumbs, to grasp new leaves.
The koala's habitat is quite different. It lives in bushland where there are suitable eucalyptus trees for its dietary needs.
Koalas spend between 18 and 21 hours a day sleeping.
This is because koalas have a slow metabolic rate which is required for them to digest the eucalyptus leaves on which they feed. Eucalyptus leaves are very fibrous and rather low in nutrition, so the fact that the koala has a slow metabolic rate means it can keep the food within its digestive system for as long as possible in order to maximise the energy that can be extracted from the leaves. This slow metabolic rate also means the koalas sleep for more time each day in order to conserve energy.
Koalas are herbivorous, living almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, although they also eat the gum tree blossoms and occasionally, even the bark.
While there are hundreds of different eucalyptus species in Australia, koalas eat from only about 60 of the species, among which they have around 14 species as their favourite food source, specifically, the subgenus Symphyomyrphus.
The concept of "free time" is unique to humans. Koalas, like all other wild animals, do not have free time. Their time is spent on survival. Koalas spend an average of 17-19 hours per day sleeping. The rest of the time is spent grazing on eucalyptus leaves, or moving from tree to tree for choice leaves.
In the few hours of each day that they are not sleeping, they are eating.
Koalas are wild animals, so apart from eating, they most like to be left alone. They are only active 5-8 hours a day, moving to a new eucalyptus tree, eating or mating.
Koalas eat, climb, walk, run, sleep and reproduce.
Koalas spend most of the day resting and sleeping. In a nut shell, the koalas move from tree to tree while eating for fun.

Not a thing. Koalas do not eat bamboo. Bamboo is not even native to Australia. Koalas feed on eucalyptus leaves. They cannot and do not use bamboo in any way.
