Sometimes the babies fall out and die because of the coldness, its really sad if you watch the march of the penguins, i actually cried watching that documentary . the fathers of the babies have to stay with the baby penguins and tuck them under their feet so the mothers can travel miles away to go get food and bring it back for their babies. Its really sad cause some mothers get eaten by the seals and then when all the other mothers return back, they refind their soulmates and feed their babies, as the other mothers who got eaten themselves do not return and their babies starve to death.
