If you have your ear pierced and the bump feels like a very round ball near the ear pierced hole, then they never really get too big. I have had one myself, and it just tends to go up and down in size, i have been to the doctors about it and they just said that there is no point in operating on it as the scar an operation would leave would be more noticable than the bump itself is at the moment.
So don't worry about it, it should hopefully be nothing, but if you want to put your mind at rest then you can go see a doctor about it. Hope this helps :)

My sister got her ear pierced and she had an allergic reaction to it, so she had to take the ring out. When it healed, it grew a small bump on the front side of her ear. The doctor said that it is not going to hurt her, just to leave it alone. Did you just have your ears pierced? If so, that might be it. Good luck:)

I have a bump directly behind my ear which is a cyst. They will sometimes grow bigger and if it bothers you, you can get it removed. Sometimes they will be sore when it grows but it often wont bother you.

A small bump or knot behind the ear can be an injury, cyst, or a swollen lymph gland. If you hit this area in an accident, then it may cause a bump to appear that is painful. It could also be a benign cyst that may require removal. Swollen lymph glands behind the ear can be due to bacterial infections.
