quantitive observation
Observation is the act of watching something.
When the pH is measured with a calibrated instrument it is a quantitative measurement.
Measuring a temperature with a thermometer is usually considered to be a quantitive observation. /Brian W
A qualitive observation is an observation of a product of a reaction which cannot be measured numerically, e.g. colour, state of matter. A quantitive observation is an observation which can be measured, e.g. size, volume.
"The helicopter fell quickly" is an example of a qualitative observation. This is because it does not define "quickly" by giving it a fixed value.
quantitive is not a word. PS can you please recommend me?
A quantitative observation means to measure the amount of something. Meaning you would use things like a triple beam balance, graduated cylinder, or a mass scale a ruler, anything that will give you data in numbers not qualitative like color or murkiness of water. So 25 grams not it has a reddish tint to it.
I have no idea how to use the word quantitive in a sentence. oh wait nvm i just did :P
quantitive observation is where you can observe a large number of people or things at once ie a survey would create quantitative data as a large number of people can take a survey. QUALITATIVE observation in comparrison is more in depth ie you would get qualitative data from one on one in depth interveiws A quantitavive observation uses numbers and measurements to describe something. for example 3 cm (centimeters) 0.7643 mm(millimeters)
There are two basic types of observation, quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative defines while qualitative data describes. Observations such as smell, taste, and appearance are all qualitative. As opposed to quantitive which is any observation (such as size, or weight) where a definitive value can be assigned.
It is qualitative.
