Poor acceleration in a 4.3L V6 engine could be caused by issues such as clogged fuel filters, dirty air filters, spark plug problems, transmission issues, or a faulty fuel injection system. It's important to have a professional mechanic diagnose the specific cause to address the problem effectively.
There is one before and one after the catalytic converter.
The fuel lines around the filter; you will need an adapter.
It should be on the front of the intake manifold directly above and behind the water pump.
Don't know what year you have but some sensors are temperature sensitive and you should run a 195 degree thermostat.
I had that problem with mine and it was the bearings going out in the alternater. So try replaceing the alt.
Have the alignment checked. I suppose hard acceleration could cause torque steer. I have never experienced that in my 04.
code 26/quad driver module fault. I have a vibration when I acceleration at times. What is the cause? I have a 1990 oldsmobile cutlass cierra, 3.3 liter V6 engine. The engine light comes on and off. what is the possible cause?
muffler or exhaust could be damaged....if it has aftermarket exhaust it will sound different since it is not a V8.
This depends on the vehicle year, make and model. In general, the V4 engine will have slower, less rapid acceleration than a V6. The V6 engine has more cylinders than a V4 capable of delivering more acceleration power to the engine. It is also important to note that a vehicle with more miles on the odometer will accelerate better than a brand new vehicle. The older vehicle is more "broken in" and will have a stronger acceleration and go.

The EGR valve on your Astrovan is on the backside of the intake manifold just under the throttle body attached by two bolts. After installing a new gasket be sure and torque the BOLTS to 17-18ft lbs or the NUTS (if yours has studs) to 15ft lbs)
fist of all its a V6 second it needs a tune up
