i was wondering whether the switch at the parking brake could affect this problem.
Your question is TOO vague Sounds like you have DRL's Daytime Runing Lamps Try turning the light switch on
Turn on you lights and put them on low beam. That is daytime running lights.
the answer is one obvious fault; from one of two probable problems: the buggered part is the DRL module [Daytime Running Light], but it may have just been the module's time to go, or it may be a manufactured defect in the cavalier's wiring loom, located just inder the battery tray at the left front corner, causing a short circut, thus cooking your DRL, killing your headlights, and causing the flashy 'we've got a problem' light to show on your dash
had that prblem, its your wireing hornis
There is a relay for this, but it is in a location that is not very accesible to the backyard mechanic. As well the part is fairly expensive. I paid $350 Canadian for my part, on top of the labor to have a specialty shop replace it.
try the car and kepp it runing till the lights go on and off if this dont work go on to yahoo or ask jeeves
