One thing we can do is stay away from the reefs, but if we feel compelled to explore, try not to disturb the animals or harm the coral. That way the coral reef can stay the way it is and keep regenerating for many years to come. Another major issue we seem to have is polluting the reefs and not cleaning it up. We have oil spills that kill the coral and cause the fish to migrate to another reef. Other problems include coral bleaching and everyday polluting. So the next time you drop your empty coffee cup or water bottle and question picking it up, think about the nature that could be harmed by that one piece of trash that you were too lazy to bend over and pick up. Those are just a couple of ways to preserve coral reef. If you want more information, i suggest going to Wikipedia and searching coral reefs. that might tell you more of mankind's many sanitation issues :)
