A proper balance of water and electrolytes is clearly important for maintaining good health. The human body has many mechanisms in place to maintain an appropriate balance of water and all electrolytes (esp sodium and potassium). The integrity of every cell in the body depends on this balance. Each type of cell has a unique function and that function dictates exactly what the balance of electrolytes needs to be for proper function (e.g. excitatory cells such as neurons will have different electrolyte concentrations than a skin cell, or a red blood cell).
As you exercise, electrolytes and water are lost. In fact, several hours of exercise on a hot day can produce salt crystals on the skin (the water evaporates leaving the salt behind). Potassium is the most important electrolyte since, without it, your heart would immediately stop beating (don't worry, you wouldn't even realize it since all your nerves would immediately stop conducting as well... oh and you'd have massive seizures since all your muscles require potassium to relax or remain relaxed). If you were to lose only water (maintain steady electrolyte levels) then you'd have a relative increase in your electrolytes... increased sodium can make you delirious, and the increased potassium would again stop your heart, but this time you'd go completely flaccid rather than seize. If you were to lose only sodium you would start to have really funny heart beats (you'd eventually die from this), and really pathetic reflexes (more pathetic than usual) since you need sodium to move (for nerve conduction and muscle function).
However, as mentioned above, the human body has many amazing systems in place to ensure water and electrolyte homeostasis. Just be sure to have a little Gatorade if your sweating a lot. Oh, and if you have too much Gatorade (if you make it really strong and have a bunch of it) you'll get diarrhea. Enjoy!
The absence of water in your body makes you dehydrated in that case your body tends to loose so much energy due to your blood not circulating properly, and your skin gets dry. Water cleanses your body it removes unwanted toxins that are harmful.
The body becomes dehydrated. Lack of water and body salts will affect body and brain function.
Dehydration.
Chipmunks and squirrels both store food and water for the winter time. Both of these animals make sure they have enough food and enough water to endure the long, cold winter
No. The cat runs a risk of swallowing the salt water. Salt water will make you very sick.
Boil enough water to encase chicken, make sure the water is hot enough that you couldn't stick your hand in it. Put the chicken in the water and count to 60. After this pull out the chicken and pluck the feathers, they should come right off
fast enough to run on water without sinking.
Yes provided it has enough food and especially water.
There is not enough water in all the rivers to replace the water in the oceans.
Because clouds occur when water condenses from water vapour to tiny water droplets. Water condenses when it is cold enough, and higher up in the atmosphere, it is colder.
Wilting occures when there is not enough water for the plant to stay alive. All plants will wilt if not givin enough water.
Boiling water occurs when heat is applied to water, causing the water molecules to gain energy and move faster. As they move faster, they eventually reach a point where the water transitions from a liquid state to a gaseous state, creating bubbles and steam. This is the process of boiling.
If the water does not contain enough oxygen, yes.
the only one that has enough nutrients to use as a meal replacement is onesource optimal nutrition. most others are water based. you cant replace food with water.
Replace the cam belt every 90,000 miles. Also replace the water pump at the same time. WARNING: This is an interference engine. If the belt breaks serious engine damage will occur.
It has a timing belt, and the water pump is driven by the same belt. Replace the water pump at the same time you replace the belt. This is an interference engine and as such if the belt breaks serious engine damage will occur. Replace the belt and pump at 102,000 miles.
It can occur on top of the water or under water.
Hurricanes do not typically occur on the equator because they require the Coriolis effect to form, which is stronger away from the equator. Hurricanes usually occur in regions at least 5 to 20 degrees away from the equator, in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
It could be from not drinking enough water. Dehydration
Depending on the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide, (if low enough) it will just decompose into water and oxygen gas. If the hydrogen peroxide is high enough in concentration it will just heat up and mix with the water (most likely the first will occur).
