Well, I live in Wasilla Alaska and I have been to Barrow a few times. It is very small. Not much to do. It is very icey and snowy, there are very little houses, not bright at all in the winter. And it is a little depressing. But fun to visit!! But, even in Wasilla we do not have much sun in the winter.
I have lived in Alaska my entire life and there are a million things to do! In the summers you can four-wheeling, camping, fishing, rafting, boating, hiking, swimming, pretty much anything as long as the weather permits it. In the winters you can go sledding, snowmachining (snowmobiling), ice fishing, snowshoeing, running dogs...those are just some outside things but they have movie theaters, shopping malls, things like that so really kids in Alaska do the same things kids in the states do...it just all depends on the weather!
the same things the people in Texas do, or Louisiana, or New Mexico, or any other state. We watch movies, play Video Games, read, Television, write, draw, shop, etc, etc.
Just because we are colder doesn't mean were not part of USA entertainment too.
oh, we also eat cold foods xP
They hunt for their food and get to have popcorn, chips.
Although many think it is very cold there, it is actually not that cold. They live just like we do in the U.S.
Nearly anything you wish. There is a wide variety of geographical features and climate as well as a huge area in which to do it.
Everything any other state does with the exception of riding Roller Coasters and purposely swimming in the ocean.
You can definitely do whale watching, as there are many good places to do so here. You can also check out the markets and the fish sales. Go on a hiking tour, or play in the snow!
Alsakans do basically the same things as any other American does for fun. Think of something you like doing, and they probably do it too.
