Best Answer
  • Anything that is the body part of an animal other than a fish. No chicken. No beef. No pork (yes, this includes processed pork like bacon, sausage, ham, and Spam). No lamb. No turkey. No squab. No dog meat. No rabbit. No venison. No buffalo.
  • Anything that is made out of any of the above. That means no chicken gravy, no beef broth, no veal stock, no meat sauce. None of that. "Natural beef flavors" counts. That means it comes from cow bits.
  • Most gelatins. Gelatin is animal collagen and generally comes from cows and pigs. Fish gelatin does exist and is used primarily in kosher gelatins. Again, call the company to be sure.
  • Hard cheeses (it has rennet in it) but you're welcome to eat soft cheeses like cottage or cream cheese.
  • No lard, suet, or tallow. No duck or chicken or turkey fat/drippings/cracklin's.

What can't pescatarians eat?

A pescetarian diet is a diet which includes fish but no other animals. Although pescetarians eat fish sometimes, they are mostly vegetarian and have fish only once or twice a week to get the intake of DHA and EPA omega 3 which is hard to find on a vegetarian diet. Nuts, grains, seeds, beans and legumes are the main sources of protein and of course fish. Some Pescetarians eat eggs and/or dairy and some do not. Pescetarians should also avoid by products of slaughter of land animals such as gelatin, gelatin, asparatame and animal fats from pork etc.

What is a pesco-vegetarian?

A pesco-vegetarian, also called pescetarian, eats very much the same way as a normal vegetarian. They follow the no-meat diet, excluding beef, chicken, poultry, etc., but DO eat fish. So just to recap, fish is the only meat they actually eat, and that inclusion of fish is what makes them pescetarians and not normal vegetarians.

Which vegetarian diet will not eat meat but will eat dairy and eggs?

If you are: Vegan: You consume no meat, fish, dairy or eggs, in fact anything that is an animal or has come from an animal you avoid. Is being a 100 percent pescetarian make you unhealthy?

A Pescetarian is someone who eats fish or seafood, dairy and eggs. They don't eat any other foods from animal origins. Pescetarians are not vegetarians as some people might think, since fish and seafood are animals. A lot of vegetarians say they eat fish, but the truth is, you CAN'T be a vegetarian and still say you eat fish, it's a ridiculous statement to make. If you become a vegetarian or a vegan without doing research then you could become unhealthy and end up deficient in a lot of important nutrients. For example, zinc, omega 3 and B12. Vegans will argue they get all the nutrients they need from plants, but the truth is, they can't unless they supplement. There is no abundant source of B12 in nature other than in animal flesh and dairy. To answer your question, being a Pescetarians is very healthy. People who eat more fish tend to live longer than people who don't.

Do fish have meat?

The below response just shows that anyone can edit these. Fish is an animal, meat is the flesh of an animal. People who eat fish are not vegetarians, they are Pescetarians if they eat no other animals or by-products of the slaughterhouse. You can argue the technicalities of the term, different dictionary's have different definitions, but in the end fish is not suitable for vegetarians (if that's what you were wondering). ___ no its not meat! i am a vegetarian and fish is not meat. Is fish an mammal? NO so its not meat. many people consider fish meat because they think if its an animal then its meat but it is not meat.

Do vegetarianism's eat fish?

its vegetarians andLacto-ovo vegetarians eat as above with the addition of dairy products (lacto) and/or eggs (ovo). This, in common parlance, is the style of eating most often meant in America when people refer to "vegetarian." Lacto-ovo food choices, in other words, do contain some foods of animal origin, but no foods composed of the animal's actual flesh, or products thereof (for instance, if rice was cooked in chicken stock, it would not be acceptable to your typical lacto-ovo vegetarian).Pesce-Vegetarians (sometimes called Pescetarians)In addition to the foods above, pesce-vegetarians eat fish. (Most vegans and lacto-ovo vegetarians do not, by the way, consider those who eat fish "real" vegetarianshope this helps.

Do vegans live longer?

"No, vegetarians don't. they tend to live much longer as long as they have a balanced diet." (I left previous answer as to not destroy it) No, not really, it's actually a very debatable subject. Eating too much meat is certainly bad, but there are essential nutrients that we can get best through meat. We are omnivores, so we should be eating both, but probably eat less meat is good, because too much meat can be very unhealthy. Also, it is about eating a lot of balanced meat, such as fish and turkey, not only beef and pork.
