try alcohol. But keep in mind that when it dissolves the ink it may turn a small black spot into a large gray spot. have you tried WD-40?
Lacquer thinner will do it too, but only if the surface can take it-it is harsh enough to melt plastic
I'm not sure if vinegar works. I have never tried it to be honest with you.
1: I'd suggest Using a mild dose of "Goo Gone" with a rag or paper towel to remove the marker ink.
2: If that doesn't work, Try a cap or two of rubbing alcohol (approx. 50% pure or higher)
3: If you plan On using Vinegar Try a very small amount on a tissue and try removing the ink in a small area, than work your way up to a larger surface area. (just be careful that the vinegar doesn't eat away at the cast) (Vinegar has acids, It may dissolve through plaster or tarnish fiberglass)
4: OR squirt a small amount of Zippo fluid Directly on the ink, and rub it off with a rag or tissue paper.
Let me know if it helps!
Cheers!
