now i am no expert but i believe that because water is constantly moving and being effected by wind and the water cycle and land absorbs the heat and does not pass it on as easily then land holds more heat than water does
Water! It's amount of energy needed to change the temperature is much much higher than the land.
Think of it this way - It gets cold at night and really warm during the day, but the ocean will remain cold.
It really depends, Land absorbs heat faster than ocean but Land also cools off faster than the ocean. The ocean tends to heat up slower and cool off slower.
The sea holds temperature longer than land. It heats up much more slowly, and also cools down slower. Please see the explanations in the related link.
water
Because in general the sea is warmer than the land during the night.
Land heats fast and cools faster than sea. On hot sunny day, land is hotter. on cold windy night, coast is hotter.
A sea breeze can occur at nearly any temperature. It is caused when the land is warmer than the sea, causing air to rise above the land and cause a low pressure zone over the land that is filled from cooler air from the sea.
penis
.. Is called a sea breeze.
sea is warmer than land
When the sea is warmer than the land
In the winter the sea is warmer than the land. Warm breezes from the sea move towards the land. Areas further from the sea hardly get these warm breezes, and therefore remain cold.
Because in general the sea is warmer than the land during the night.
A sea breeze forms when air over land becomes warmer than the air over the nearby water.
Sea breeze A sea breeze blows from the sea toward land. During the day the air above the land is warmer than the air above the water. The air rises creating low pressure at the surface of the land . The air above the water moves toward the land. Land breeze A land breeze blows from the land toward the sea. At night the water is warmer than the land. The air above the land is cooler, so it sinks. This creates high pressure at the surface of the land. The air above the land moves toward the water.
The sea has a constant temperature and as a result keeps the temperatures on the coast more constant. it is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
nights are warmer in coastal areas because the water cools down more slowly than land. so the cool air from the land moves towards the sea which makes the nights in coastal areas warmer.
Coastal regions tend to have higher levels of humidity, which can trap heat and prevent it from dissipating as easily as in inland areas. The presence of large bodies of water, like oceans, can also influence the temperature by moderating the climate and keeping temperatures relatively stable. Additionally, the ocean releases heat absorbed during the day, contributing to warmer nights along the coast compared to inland areas.
Land breezes are generic things. They don't have specific names. They blow at evening from the land to the sea, hence their name. They arise because the land cools down more quickly than the sea and so the air over the sea is warmer than that over the land. The air over the sea rises so the air from the land moves in to replace it.
That is because the wind in the United States of America comes from the west, over sea. The sea does not chance temprature as quickly as land, and therefore does not cool down as fast. As a result the wind coming from the sea is warmer then the temprature above land, warming up the land, but losing warmth as is passes by.
