That depends on how severe the cut is.

If it is a shallow, thin cut, like a paper cut, just rinse with warm salt water and keep it clean. It should heal well within a day or two.

If it is a deep or ragged cut that bleeds significantly or tends to lay open or split easily, you probably want to see a dentist soon, preferably an oral surgeon. He/she will evaluate the wound, perhaps debride the tissue and place some sutures. They may also recommend and prescribe an antibiotic for a week or so.
