When we talk about stereotyping are we so quick to want to change gender roles. What is really behind stereotyping that it has become taboo to want a girl to play with dolls and act like a girl, or a boy to play with trucks and dirt. God made man and woman.

We should fight against discrimination in the workplace or domestic violence in the home, we should not want anyone to be afraid of being themselves ( if their actions are appropriate, yes appropriate). But we need to stop pretending that women and men are the same, because they are not. That's the beauty of creation, we are different, we were made to be different. We were made to complement each other.

What is your feeling about gender stereotyping?

In some cases, gender stereotyping is correct, but that is only because of the person's individual way of living or just the person's personality. To me, gender stereotyping is an everyday issue and I feel it's something we can only handle by proving the person (saying, "all women love shopping" for example) wrong. I dislike stereotyping deeply, and I find it both offensive and uneccessary. It's discussable whether it's nature or some cruel habit individuals have developed over time, but I feel it's a habit you can descend from.
