It does seem plausible. Just like the H1N1 vaccine, it would be subjecting the ant to very small amounts of the poison, to raise its immune system against it. You would have to steadily increase its dosages of the Ruhbarb leaves. The only difficulties would be getting the ant to eat the leaf, and deciding how much of the leaf to put in, without killing the ant. But I doubt it will work, because the ant would not have enough poison in it to killing anything larger than a medium-sized spider.
