Snow ski, snow shoe, watch it snow, go to a bar, hunt, watch TV, watch the sun rise at 10 AM, watch the sun set at 2 PM, watch the temperature go up and down, read, have a snowball fight, ride a snowmobile, build a snowman, sit and drink coffee (or tea or hot chocolate) while talking to friends, sled, join a polar bear club (swim in ice water), build a snow fort at least these were some thing we did in Fairbanks.

Cross country skiing is popular on the roughly 45 miles of trails in the city, many of which are groomed and some even lit up.

You can do alot of normal stuff that you could do anywhere else. I usually spend my time going to movies or the gym, watching sports on tv, playing Video Games and of course going to work every day. I sell cars for a living. I'm somewhat unusual in that Im not into alot of the outdoors stuff but lots of people here have hobbies like fishing, hunting, snowmobiling (which I want to start doing), Snowboarding, skiing, hiking, etc. Of course in the coldest winter months which are typically December - February when tempretures sometimes average -40 degrees F we stay indoors most of the time and just go outside to run from our house to our car to drive to work or the grocery store. We dont live an igloos just very well insulated houses/ buildings.
